Start with what it shares with the Grip: hand-selected, full-grain leather sourced from Patagonia, Argentina, over a Tri-Layer Core that combines a rigid Tritan Copolyester shell to disperse impact and a soft leather lining to guard against micro-scratches, plus a high-defense anodized aluminum ring around the camera.
Then add what makes it a Buckler: stainless steel shields on all four corners. Corners are where a dropped phone lands first, and where a leather case alone gives the least. Eleven grams is the whole price of that — 55 instead of 44.
Built-in N52 rare-earth magnets keep it ready for Apple MagSafe chargers and for V-Mag, Vaja’s magnetic attachment system. Yes. Attach the V-Mag Wallet Wrap for four RFID-protected card slots, a bill pocket and a cover over the screen, or use a Mini Wallet or Card Wallet for a lighter setup. The Wallet Wrap covers the magnetic area, so it has to come off to charge on MagSafe — if you would rather charge with the cards in place, the Buckler Wallet is built for that.
